The Total Rehabilitation of the Urban Environment (TRUE,Inc)  is a community-based, non-profit organization focusing on the problems and challenges experienced by urban and suburban areas. The idea for TRUE was formulated in 1976 in Birmingham, Alabama.
TRUE's goal is to service the community seven days a week. Our community center will have programs that will empower individuals to solve their problems through education, training and referral. TRUE's mission is to provide novel, innovative, pragmatic and top quality services.
Some of the services provided will be:

• GED Education
• Skill Building training
• Entrepreneurship Projects
• Basic Computer Skills training
• HIV/AIDS Education and Testing
• Veterans Affairs
• Community Resource Referrals
• Alcohol and Drug Education

The end result of our program will produce educated, trained and dedicated adults who will re-enter their respective communities as productive members. They will have the tools that will enable them to help others reach their goals, in the same manner they were helped.
